To be eligible for the made in Kansas program, products must meet the following criteria:
● 50% of components are produced in Kansas
● Final assembly occurs in Kansas
● Utilizes manufacturing process
The Made In Kansas program certification excludes agricultural and food products eligible
for participation in the state’s Grown In Kansas or From The Land of Kansas programs.
Eligibility will be determined by the Kansas Department of Commerce.
Made In Kansas manufacturing companies extend pride in both their products and their people. Certified manufacturers have access to the exclusive Made In Kansas seal to feature on packaging, products, and promotional materials.
The Kansas Department of Commerce maintains a public directory of products certified as made in Kansas. Certified manufacturers will be promoted through Commerce’s digital and social media efforts.
Participating in the Made In Kansas program gives manufacturers access to networking events and programs provided by the Kansas Department of Commerce. Certified manufacturers belong to an elite group and are encouraged to participate in peer-to-peer mentorship.
“Made in Kansas” is sponsored by the Kansas Department of Commerce to promote Kansas manufacturers and workforce to buyers throughout Kansas, the United States and internationally. Kansas workers embody the Kansas work ethic, honed by more than 160 years of pioneering spirit and commitment to workmanship. That makes “Made in Kansas” products sought after and preferred.
